SERVICES

Acting coach

Catapult Acting was founded by Erik in 2014 to provide actors with the professional-level training, tools and resources fundamentally necessary to achieve significant success as an actor in TV/Film. Catapult offers a wide variety of services for actors of all ages. Catapult’s core mission is to connect talent with the right people and the right path. Founded on integrity and authenticity, Catapult will always put people before profit and continually strive for excellence. The primary goal is to help clients develop their craft, understand the industry, and position themselves for success.

Personal development + MOTIVATIONAL speaking

Erik’s clients have booked some of the biggest roles in TV and Film. A common thread in Erik’s most successful actors is a willingness to be open, vulnerable and take risks. Having worked with thousands of actors over the last decade and a half, Erik came to realize that the tools he was teaching in the acting room were directly applicable to everyday life. In essence, every encounter we have is an “audition”. Erik’s objective: “own the audition room of life” through embracing authenticity and wholeheartedly expressing one’s truest self (all perceived faults included).

Through motivation and accountability with an emphasis on creating a winning mindset, Erik catapults his clients to a place of KNOWING they’ve got what it takes to achieve success. Erik’s three step process: Have fun. Do your best. Forget the rest. Always reminding his clients to enjoy the PROCESS as much as the product at the end.

outside programs

Erik founded Catapult with a mission to not just provide professional level training, but to help create better people in the community. Over the past few years, Erik and his team began taking their on-camera curriculum out of the studio, and integrating their programs into local schools. Each curriculum is specifically formatted to fit the needs of each school. Specific school needs include but are not limited to:

When we began our search for a really good drama coach for the students at The Lionheart School, I never imagined we would meet someone such as the exceptional Erik (with a k) Lingvall. With his enormous smile, his never say no attitude and his passion for learning and learners, Erik moved our talented students from shy and reserved to excitedly asking to be first on camera or to direct. Erik, thank you for your dedication and commitment to your craft and to The Lionheart School students.

— Georgia Tanner, Actress, award-winning Director and Producer
Erik Lingvall and the Catapult crew have been a critical part of Will’s team for almost three years. Erik taught me everything I needed to know about navigating this crazy industry. He is patient, enthusiastic, honest and direct. He gives his whole heart and mind to his students with every interaction. He instinctively knows how to bring out Will’s best in auditions and while on set. Will brings his lessons from Erik with him everywhere because of Erik’s gift of connection. Many teachers and coaches have valuable information - but what sets Erik and his team apart is the ability to create magic and connect with each student so this valuable information can be absorbed, applied and most importantly, remembered. This is especially impressive when the student is a child.

Erik’s gift is also evident in his leadership skills. Erik attracts, hires and retains the best talent and creates an environment for them to thrive. Anyone can feel this when they walk through the doors of the studio - one cannot help be motivated by the artful design and experience the pleasure of every encounter with the Catapult staff.

We are incredibly grateful to Erik and Catapult. They will be a part of our lives for a long time to come.
— Nicole, mom of Will Buie Jr - Bunk'd, In the Tall Grass, Bobcat Goldthwait's Misfits & Monsters
